The Museum is an important place for cultural broadcast and education. Its social educational object is to make full use of different resources of the museum and offer services furthest to the public and thus drive social cultural development and spiritual civilization. Zhejiang Provincial Museum is a comprehensive museum concentrating on cultural history and arts. Exhibitions are its principal form of education outwardly, and “inviting audience in” and “pushing exhibitions and speeches out” are two measures it takes. In recent years, our social educational department has formed an important place for public patriotism education, culture & art education, moral education, spiritual civilization education and student diathesis education etc, in course our active exploitation on social education. And it has also become significant educational practice base for colleges, universities, junior high schools and primary schools. To reform and innovate our services on social education, we have pushed 10-Yuan adult yearly card and 5-Yuan student yearly card successively and delivered free speeches and lectures to audience. And group audience can even enjoy our bus reception and send-off. We’ve received high opinions from all circles of the society. And accordingly, our social education department has been awarded the honorable title of “National Youth Civilization Pioneer” by the League Central Committee.
